Belated Birthday

It was nice and cool outside this morning; The sun was out, as were a few clouds, but it was mostly clear. The sky was Dark Blue. And I felt Great.
It was the perfect time to take “Tommy the Dawg” for a ride.

“Tommy” loves to go for rides.
As soon as he sees me with his leash, he jumps up and down like a Bunny. I kid you not. Just like a Bunny.

He jumps up in the front seat, sits, and stares straight out the front window.

When we get home, he probably tells the other Animals that he and I went on a Very Important Mission to save the world. That’s what I think he does.
I do know that he struts around like the “Big Dawg on Campus” when he gets back home. That’s all another story, though.

We drive all around the Mountain, Tommy and I.
I don’t want to take him on any main roads where I have to drive fast.
I have a “Pet Seat Belt” on order. Until I get that, I stay on the Mountain.
We stayed gone for a good while.

I arrive back home, and Momma gives me my Birthday Present.
She waited for me to feel better before giving it to me.
It’s a Navy Pea Coat and Hat. Man, oh, man. It’s nice.
I look like someone getting ready to set sail to the New World.
I love it. It hides my Ostomy Bags very well.

Tonight, we had my Favorite Meal.

—Country Fried Steak and Gravy
—Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
—Sweet Peas
—Creamed Corn
—Brown and Serve Rolls

Mmm-mmm.

After Supper, I took Tommy for another Drive around the Mountain.
Or, as he tells it to the other Animals—A Very Important Mission to save the world.

So, Sleep well, Animals of the World; Tommy and I have taken care of everything.

That’s all for now.

Love you,

–Lynn
